Dental fillings

Dental fillings are used to fill a cavity or other damage such as a chipped or fractured tooth, helping restore the shape and function of the tooth and protecting it from further damage. Your Capel Dental Care dentist will assess your tooth and recommend a filling where appropriate as part of your ongoing dental care.

What does filling treatment involve?

Filling treatment is a common procedure and is often completed in a single appointment. Your dentist will carefully remove any damaged or weakened tooth structure before cleaning the area and placing a filling material to restore the tooth. Treatment aims to help protect the tooth and allow it to function normally.

If you are concerned about a damaged tooth or think you may need a filling, contact Capel Dental Care on 01267 237363 to book an appointment.

When is a filling needed?

During a routine dental health check-up, your dentist will examine your teeth for signs of decay or other damage. Identifying problems early allows treatment to be carried out before the tooth becomes weaker or more extensive treatment is required. If a filling is recommended, your dentist will explain why it is needed and discuss the treatment with you.

I have been a patient at this practice for many years and have always been impressed by the helpful staff and professionalism of all concerned. Over recent times I have been looked after by Mark Trueman who has been so welcoming and reassuring. He always finds time to ask about my health and life, making the whole experience a very positive one. His reassuring manner helps me to relax, and any necessary dental work is carried out with the minimum of fuss, whilst informing me of what is taking place as the treatment is proceeding. Thank you Mark, and all the team at Capel Dental Care Surgery.

Fantastic atmosphere. I have a huge phobia of dentists and apart from an emergency at another dentist, I hadn't been for 40 years. The staff were very friendly and I felt at ease, the dentist explained everything in detail and I would recommend this dentist and the practice highly to anyone looking for a dentist .
