Lynwen has worked at Capel Dental Care for many years, supporting the clinical team by carrying out examinations and providing a range of restorative and preventive treatments within her scope of practice. She began her career in dentistry as a dental therapist, qualifying at New Cross College in 1973. She went on to gain her oral health education certificate in 1983 and completed a master's degree in health promotion in 2004.
